How Can I Feel Angry & Still Be a Nice Person?

I’ve been doing a lot of healing work for myself and others this last week and one thing that comes up often is ANGER! Can we feel this angry and still be nice people?  I get asked questions like that a lot.  The answer is YES!  That anger is there for a very good reason.  Anger is a big attention getter.. it’s letting you know that life is really out of whack with how you want to be living and experiencing. 

The really big and important question is what are you going to do with the anger?  What are you doing about the anger?  First admit that it’s there.  Take a few moments to see the anger for what it is, a reminder that things are not the way you want them to be.  What’s out of whack?  Have you put yourself in situations where you don’t feel good about you?  Are you not fulfilling your dreams?  Are you holding back due to fear of what others will think about you?

Be still long enough to hear that little voice within that will guide you to what is asking to be released.  What happens quite often is that we ask for change, we beg for it, beseech the Universe for life to be different and when things start falling apart we panic.  Pause for a few minutes to get a good intuitive read on what is asking for you to release it.  Through acceptance, forgiveness and release you are allowing a space for the life experiences you do want to show up.

Notice what shows up in your thoughts and emotions.  Listen to your inner guidance, follow through for healing.  Now you are ready to create the reality you want to experience.  Keep that space clear and watch in joy as new experiences manifest.

Change the direction you are going or you’ll end up where you’re headed

If you keep going without any changes you will end up where you are headed right now.  Is that where you really want to go?  Is it what you really want to experience? If you keep thinking what you’re thinking, feeling those same feeling, making the same choices based on the same energy you will end up with exactly what you are creating.  In order to get somewhere different, to experience something different, something must change.  You are what must change.  Your thinking, feeling, doing; is what’s bringing it all into form.

What energy are you making your decisions with now?  Fear?  Worry?  Anger?  Resentment?  Joy?  Love?  Excitement?

It really matters if you want to experience something else, something new.  Most are stuck in a rut carved out by the same beliefs, the same thoughts, the same feelings and yes, the same actions.  That’s why nothing much changes.  In order for things to change… well… things gotta change.

When you identify the thoughts, those pesky beliefs that you keep creating the same things over and over with and replace them with thoughts and beliefs that are in line with what you really want to experience you will begin to notice a shift in the way things line up in your life.  Notice how opportunities to make difference choices present themselves.  With the new opportunities be awake to what you are thinking and feeling, that’s how you make a different choice.  It’s easy to go back to your old style so be alert.  If you’ve dealt with beliefs that limit and replaced them with new empowering ones the choices will feel easier to make.

Changing directions doesn’t have to be hard.  Get caught up in the excitement of creating something new, connect with the feelings of having this new life.  Let that energy direct and encourage you to move forward in a new direction.  Getting out of your comfort zone opens you up to a whole new world of experiences and opportunities.  Run with them and let the celebration begin.

Be honest with what you feel, trace it backwards till you discover where it’s coming from.  Now you can let it go and keep moving forward.  Practice this process of change and watch how your life changes.

Learning from your emotions; they have a message for you

Today there seems to be a lot of talk about only feeling those “good” emotions, working your way up the ladder of feelings without much regard for the ones you don’t much care for. While it’s understandable that you want to feel good, it’s beneficial to take a look at those unwanted feelings before moving on past them.
All feelings have value to you. Each one brings with it a message that once understood helps you to move forward with deeper understanding and personal insight. Anger for instance asks you to halt and pay attention to your surroundings, often warning you ahead of time of a potential danger. When understood anger as well as your other emotions bring healing and balance to your life experience.

The problem with anger is that often times it’s held to tightly because of a past trauma. Something happened and you just haven’t let it go. Anger boils inside you and explodes with the least provocation often bring with it destruction of relationships and peace. Once you take a look at the cause of this type of anger response you can trace it back to it’s root, change your perception of the situation and allow healing. Healing is the process of allowing something else into your life rather than the same old types of things.

After tracing your anger back to it’s root look for the gift in that situation. There is always a gift, sometimes you just have to dig really deep to find it. Abuse in childhood reminds you to protect yourself and you can now be inspired to help others understand that they have control over their own lives rather than just living with the anger and hurt of the past. No matter the original cause of the anger you can shift it’s meaning in your life and move forward into healing and balance.

You Always Get What You Love

The big question then is, what do you love?

I’m sure you’ll answer that you love people who treat you with respect and kindness, abundance, health, joy, happiness.

Well, if that’s so then your life should be overflowing with these things.

It is right?  Overflowing with these wonderful things?

No? 

Why not?

It’s simple really.  You attract, create, bring into your experience what you really love.

By this I mean what you are giving your most intense and passionate energy to.

Take a moment and think back over the last day or two.  What have been your main thoughts?  What have you been feeling?

If you have been focused on lack, anger, resentment, being mistreated.. then that’s your answer.

The real deal is that what you have in your life you got there all by your self.  Your thoughts led to your actions which led to more experiences similar to your thoughts and feelings.

This is how it works.  You can’t get around it.  Just like you can’t plant a patch of peas and get sweet corn, you can’t focus on something and get something else.

Things are true to themselves. 

Thoughts are true to themselves as well.  Thoughts reproduce more thoughts in their own likeness.  Add to this that your emotions follow your thoughts and your life experiences come about due to the thoughts and feeling acting like magnets bringing more of the same energy into your life.. and you get the picture of why your life is where it is.

If you want to understand the person your are, the way you think and expect life to be for you, then just look around at what and who is in your life.

These are mirrors reflecting your inner thoughts and secret expectations to you.

This is why so many say that the Law of Attraction doesn’t work for them.  You can not change what is without unless and until you change what is within.

You can not continue to think and feel in a resentful, angry, fearful way and get over into the abundance and prosperity camp.

There is no road linking that line of thinking and expecting.

You can only experience what you believe for.  If your belief system is fearful, shameful, resentful and angry, that is what you will get more of.

The process of changing your thinking takes time and patience, most importantly it takes honesty.  You can’t continue to blame others for your own lot in life.  You are the power, the force that creates what you hold within your self.

By taking inventory and being honest about your inner character, you can begin to change  yourself and as you do everything outside you will also begin to change.

You have to commit to these changes, you have to do the work.

I Don’t Like This Not One Little Bit Thank You

When my grandson was about four and a half he responded to taking a nap  by saying, “I don’t like this not one little bit, thank you”.  Always polite, even when he disagreed with me about nap time, he expressed exactly how he felt about a situation like to his liking.

We adults can learn a lot from this little boy.

We tend to have a fit when things are not to our liking.  We raise our voices, put up a fight and resist like our lives depended on it.

All this does is create more of the same energy, the same type of things fall into our lives rather quickly in response to the energy signal we are sending out.

Have you ever had dogs that barked at everything?  Every time a leaf wiggled on a tree the dog barked, each sound ended in another bark.  The angrier you get the more the dog barks.  The more you resist the more barking fills the air waves. 

The dog feels your anger and frustration and responds by thinking you want him to bark as you too are upset about some perceived danger “out there”.

When you calm down and correct the dogs barking by shifting his attention to something else, then the barking stops.

The Universe and Law of Attraction responds to our energy as well.  When something is not to our liking in our lives we can rail against it or politely say, no thank you.

The energy that we pour into our choices, what we are giving our attention to determines what we get more of. 

If you find yourself in a situation that isn’t pleasant, simply say, “no thank you”.  I appreciate the contrast you have pointed out and now I know what it is that I do want.

Then turn your attention away from what isn’t wanted and keep your eyes on the prize of what you do desire.

The reason that so many stay in the same type of situation for years is that they keep their attention on it by fussing, telling the story of how hard it is and through the constant attention they keep it alive and thriving.

There is only abundance.  What you turn your emotions and passions to through your attention determines what will abundantly show up in your life.

What you are now experiencing is the result of what you have been paying attention to.  Pay attention to something else and it will appear abundantly in your life. 

Change mental directions through your thoughts, then watch as feelings and experiences follow into an abundance of something new.
