I love happy.  I write about happy.  I talk about happy.  I follow happy.  Following the fun assures my happy.  How bout you?  Are you actually enjoying your life or just making it through from one day to the next?  I understand how you feel about working to pay bills, take care of responsibilities, etc.  BUT did you know that you can do all those things and enjoy them?  It’s attitude and perspective.  Just last night a young man asked what I did for “work”, to which I replied that I “play at working”.  He told me how lucky I am and I agree.  I’m lucky that I realized a few years ago that I can do what I enjoy and actually have money to do the monthly expenses, eat out, travel etc.

He told me that he was out of work and needed to find a job.  I asked what he loved doing.  After he told me I suggested he start his own business doing just that.  Now get this.. he DID NOT jump up and down with joy at the prospect.. rather he began giving me a list of reasons why he CAN NOT do that.  OK.

It’s all about your outlook.  How are  you seeing things?  Hint here.. what it looks like “out there” is how you are seeing it in your emotions & beliefs.  That’s why it keeps looking like that.  Being happy isn’t hard.  It doesn’t require any thing or any one to show up and do anything either.  It’s a state of mind.  It’s a choice.

Follow the fun, decide on happy.  No matter what’s going on in your life decide on happy.  Watch as new doors open for you bringing even more to celebrate.

How To Live An Empowered Life Letting Go Of What You Are Not


Here is the big problem!  Most of us identify more with what we are not than with who we are!  What does that mean? OK, let’s play with it for a few minutes.  Think over your day.  How many times have you said “I am……”? What did you just do?  You identified yourself, you gave meaning to an experience and claimed it as yourself.  That’s big, it’s huge… and it’s limiting.

The truth is that you are creative energy, bringing into form thoughts in order to experience.  You are NOT the experience, rather you are the power that creates them.  Now stop for a few minutes and remember what thoughts, feelings & beliefs you used to bring that experience into form.  Don’t do that again. Smile

That’s very simplistic and I realize that.  However, it’s the way to creating a new experience.  First you must realize the truth.  Stop seeing yourself as every experience and know that you are the creative power behind the experience.  When this is realized you can move into consciously creating life the way you actually want to interact with it.  You stop trying to change things and just go right on ahead making it suit you in every way.  If an experience doesn’t measure up just drop it and create something else.

Self empowerment or self realization is the wisdom of knowing who you are.  This involves letting go of all emotional connection to who you are not.  Living an empowered life is the result of your willingness to let go of emotional memories and every false identity.  When you clear away what you are not… you see yourself as you really are… powerful to create life any way you would enjoy it.

It’s that simple.  You already have the power.. go ahead and exercise it!

Stop Living An Automated Life Thank You Tweet Deck


Life is always serving up reminders for me.  I love it when I “get it”.  After a week of dealing with a respiratory infection, which by the way brought it’s own load of reminders which I’ll get to later, I’ve spent a lot of time paying attention.  Noticing is one of my favorite activities.  With the virus there was little else to do than notice so I’ve spent the week looking around and within.  This is the first time I’ve experienced “sick” in many years and I can’t say I much enjoyed it although a lot of healing work and resulting wisdom has come from it.  Anyway, back to the story as I tend to wander around a lot in these blogs posts, and my books now and again too.  Actually I do it on purpose to help you pay attention and not go into automatic mode because your brain starts filling in the blanks before you finish reading, with all those experiences that have come before.  See,  I did it there.. Got your attention didn’t it? 

Here’s the story and the insight.  I logged into my Tweet deck to see what was going on and then had an idea for a tweet of my own.  I typed it in the appropriate space and hit the tweet button.  At once I got a notice that it had not been tweeted as it appeared it was an “automatic tweet”.  What?  How could Twitter be so confused?  I had just sat there and typed the little message.  So I hit Tweet again and it went through.  Good deal..

Now what in the word does this have to do with anything you might be interested in?  Well… how often are you just going through the steps you call life?  Most humans aren’t really living, they are just going through the motions of survival, day in and day out.  We scramble about like mice scurrying to find another crumb of food so we can make it through another day.  Is this all there is to life?  Is this all you want from life?

Be honest with yourself.  Are you really living life the way you want to?  Are you filling each and every day with the experiences you really want to have?  Why not?  What’s keeping you in automatic / reaction mode?  What are those beliefs that you are limiting yourself with?  Since I’ve written quite a few books, thousands of articles, done hundreds of videos and recorded thousands of audio on the topic I want to remind you to go over all that wisdom I’ve already shared with you.  Right now take a few minutes to be still and honest with yourself about your life.  How is it measuring up against the life you want to be living?

Dedicate today to noticing and being honest with yourself.  Pay attention to what is going on in your mind, body and spirit.  Ask Why?  over and over again.  Where did this come from?  Who created this?  What is my role?  Where is my power? What have you done recently that you actually, really, truly wanted to do and enjoyed?  Be true to yourself.  You can create a new experience starting this instant.  You ARE that Powerful!

If Not For Fear What Would Your Life Be Like?



I did this short recording a bit ago to discuss some insights into how we stay in an unwanted place due to fear of what others may think or say.  How is fear holding you back in life?  If you were not worried that others would think you selfish what would you do for yourself?

Dreams are not lived due to the fear of not being good enough or smart enough.  In order to live your dream you must be more than ready for a change, you must be willing to step into that change.  If not for fear how would your life be different?  What job would you have?  Where would you live, dress, eat?

If there were no limits how big would your life be?  Sit in the silence with that and see where the fear is.  Releasing it can be done once  you identify it.  Is the belief even true?  No?  Then what is the truth? 

What you invest your thinking, feeling and doing energy into is what you will experience.  After finding the truth speak only that, live only that.

How To Shift Limiting Beliefs To Enjoy A Happy Life

Are you ready now?

You are tired of struggling.  I know.  I’ve been there.  It’s just not fun and you want things to change, you just don’t know how to make them any different. It’s that stinking thinking and you just can’t quit.  You are not alone. As a matter of fact most people deal with the same issues.  It’s nice sounding to say, “grab a better feeling or think a better thought”… but HOW DO YOU DO THAT?

That’s been my life for 58 years.. figuring it all out.  I’m not saying I have all the answers but I do have a few and one thing I know is that the more fuel you put on a fire the brighter and longer it burns.  So you’ve got to stop fueling the fear, anger, stress and worry.  That’s not easy sounding either is it?

Here are a few things that will help you.  Each time you catch yourself worrying STOP and ask, “what am I thinking, is is even true”?  This unplugs you from the little primitive fight or flight brain long enough for you to catch your breath and make a conscious decision. 

Most often you will know that what is going on in your head isn’t even true.  At this point look for the truth.  Example.  I’m so poor, I’m broke, there isn’t enough money.  That is NOT true.   There is money all over the place.. an abundance of it in fact.  There is also an abundance of the experience of not having enough.  SO the truth is.. “There is ONLY abundance”.  Now which part of that abundance do you want to interact with?

Pay more attention to what you want to experience.  That’s it.  Easy Breezy.  Fuel what you want to experience.  Stay in that energy.  You will have to notice, and that will get easier as you practice.  This is a very basic step in shifting your beliefs.  For one on one guidance with me check out my special offer at Shift My Beliefs page here on the website.

5 Warning Signs That You Are Not Thriving Or Why You Are Still Stuck In Survival Mode



Today I want to talk about 5 warning signs that you are not thriving, or why you are still stuck in survival mode.  By paying attention to these warning signs and making corrections you will be able to move from survival mindset mode to full throttle thriving in a short time.  Once you make these changes you will actually begin enjoying your life.  Sounds great doesn’t it?  Side note:  I don’t really think there is any “bad thinking”,, there is only thinking, believing and doing that results either in what you want to experience or not.  I just thought that picture would get your attention.  Did it?  Leave a comment!

1.   You are still spending far more hours each day and week going through YouTube channels trying to find the magic wand, pixie dust or genie in the bottle than you are actually living a satisfying and fulfilling life.  Don’t get me wrong I love YouTube, I even have a channel there and greatly enjoy making videos to interact with people and make new friends.  What I do mean here is you are just going around finding something to “make you feel” rather than applying anything you are watching.  This is a huge problem with entertainment, whether it’s YouTube, Netflix or Hulu watching.  It’s easy to unplug from your dreams and plug into something that feels good on some level.  It’s not a total waste of time and energy, it just depends on how you are using this watching something someone else wants you to know, time.  ( I love sentences like that, even though I know it makes the grammar police growl like wolves)   Take five minutes right now to be honest about what you are looking for with all that video watching.  What are you feeling while doing it?  Do you notice how it’s not making a real difference in your real life?  It’s nice to watch stuff, I love Netflix and spend several hours a week watching a series of some kind to defrag my brain from all the thinking I’ve been doing.  But if you are using entertainment to keep you from seeing yourself.. you will stay stuck in survival mindset mode and not find your way to full throttle thriving.  Thriving is applied action to your dreams, not just continuing to dream and then cop out with a mind numbing movie.

2.   Books Everywhere with no change in sight.  You spend loads of time and maybe even money buying books to help you find that perfect mate, or heal your body, or deal with your emotions, or learn to apply the law of attraction or make more money etc. etc.  Your Kindle and book shelves are filled to the brim with all those great self help books but that’s the end of it.  Read em and forget em.  I bet you don’t even leave the author a review do you?  (Which is a big deal to me since I’m an author and delight like a kid on Christmas morning when one of my books gets a review)  I love books and my home has literally hundreds of them in the study and even my bedroom gets stacks here and there.  Having the books isn’t the issue, not doing anything with the information in the book is the issue.  I’m a very honest author and teacher.  I always suggest that when you read my books or listen to my radio shows or watch my videos that you have your journal handy to write down what your inner voice tells you.  What I say is only the reminder of what you know.  It’s YOUR wisdom that you want.  I share with you what works in my life, those are my answers.  They will aid you in finding your own, but you’ve got to be  willing to listen to your inner wisdom in order to hear anything.  Then you’ve got to apply or practice that.  Just reading a book will NOT change your life, even if it’s one of mine and my books are awesome, (if I do say so myself, and I do say so myself because I’ve read each one and applied my own wisdom to what Spirit gave me to write down for all of us) I have a book titled, “How To Be Happy And Live Free”, it’s a great book, but just reading it will not transform you from surviving to thriving.  You’ve got to apply.

3.  OMG I must find another teacher or plug in again to the one that makes me feel the best.  You’ve substituted feeling good for living good.  There are a lot of teachers out there that know how to use words like music and magic.  It’s wonderful listening to them or reading their books.  HOWEVER if you don’t apply anything that’s being taught you are left with just the chemical reaction resulting in feeling good.  I want you to feel good when you read my stuff or listen to my audio, but mostly I want you to live good which always results in feeling good.  See the difference there?  Just getting a chemical feel good fix is like being a drug addict, actually it’s pretty much the same thing and works the same way.  If you want to feel good, happy, peaceful, and satisfied, live that way all the time.  Living the good life is determined by you.  Your thoughts, those pesky beliefs and habitual actions are the result of what you say everything is.  Changing those requires, well.. changing those.  See?  Everything out there is a reflection of in there.. in you.  Yes, you really are that powerful.  Just feeling good is no more long term effective than a Scooby Do band aid on a broken leg.

4.  Social Media and hash tag pile up.  How much time do you spend liking, sharing and commenting on your social networks?  You can find me on a lot of networks but I don’t live there.  I have a life outside the matrix of Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.  How much time do you spend face to face with people or at least actually having a phone conversation?  This is very important for several reasons.  Social networking is not the same energy as looking someone in the eyes and feeling their energy as you have a shared conversation.  It’s safer feeling to stay on line or text quick little nothings all day long but it doesn’t satisfy your desire for real interaction with others.  It often leads to feelings of isolation, being left out or being able to only feel anything when online clicking, sharing and or arguing.  I love technology and the internet and use it just about every single day, I wouldn’t have a radio station or video channel or even this blog without it.. BUT I spend time each and every day looking people in the eyes and feeling them.  Listening to another is often one of the most effective ways of hearing yourself.  As others reflect our own version  of reality it’s important to notice the energy of and conversations we are engaged in.  What is it saying to you about you?  Perhaps you might be interested in a new group of friends whose interests are more in line with yours right about this time.  Remember energy  always returns in more like it. 

5.   Stock pile of all that unwanted stuff everywhere.  This is one of the first steps I give new students.. get rid of the stuff!  Grab it by the armload and throw it out.   All that piled up, unused stuff is a message just waiting for you to notice.  You are caught up somewhere in lack mentality.  Cluttered mind, cluttered emotions, cluttered home equals cluttered life.  Who wants to live a cluttered up and messy life?  Well, some may.. but you don’t or you wouldn’t still be reading this.  As you start going through every dresser, drawer, box and closet in your house feel your way through.  Be open to why you have all that stuff, what does it represent for you?  What does it mean to have all that clutter everywhere?  Are you hedging against the day when there isn’t any more stuff?  Do you foresee a time of total lack where your very survival will depend on all that stuff?  Are you afraid you can’t get anymore stuff?  FEAR is a big hole for most humans in the west.  We are marketed to through fear, kept in line with fear and our Full Throttle Thriving is kept at bay with FEAR.  In my new book, “ I Can Fill This Space With Any Thing I Want, Consciously Creating Life”, the title for chapter four is FEAR  Forgetting Everything Ain’t Real!  That’s what fear is all about.  In order to move from survival mindset to thrival mindset and actually live a life that tickles the tarnation out of you, facing the fear is a necessary step.  You can thrive but not as long as you are determined to hold onto all the clutter of beliefs and stuff that take up the space where the good stuff would be if you let go of everything you don’t like. (Another of my signature long sentences just for the grammar police and I think it’s a great and fun way to make my point)

Now let’s wrap up this pretty long blog.  I was going to give 7 ways to know you aren’t thriving but still struggling to survive, aren’t you glad I decided on just 5?  Me too!  You are powerful.  You do bring forth the experiences that you believe are yours already.  You do this through beliefs, thoughts, feelings and actions.  Change those and everything changes.  It’s just that simple.  It may not feel that easy to you right now because you don’t know how to move from what you’ve always lived as true to something else.  Here’s where I can be of service to you.  Head on over to my Author Page on Amazon and look through my books.  Grab one in either Kindle, print or audio.  Read or listen, make notes, listen to your inner voice and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.  That’s it. Palestine Israel The Pope And Southern Baptist War Of Beliefs

Let me start off by saying this blog is not so that you can agree with me.  Actually, it’s not relevant to me whether I am agreed with or not.  I have what my mother always called, “what comes up comes out” tendencies, meaning I don’t put much stock in political correctness and such silliness that keeps mankind enslaved to religion and political masters.  With that on the table I will continue.. a hum…. lol

When are we going to wake up to some real truths in this world?  Truths about the control of lies through religion and politics?  Do we have to be wiped out, diseased, does genocide have to include our family before we realize that there is something going on here behind the scenes?  How long must humanity, the whole planet suffer under the ignorance of religious and political rule?  Do you really think that you don’t have sense enough to self govern and you require others to make and enforce rules for your behavior?  Do these rules even work? NO!

You can not mandate morality or anything else by passing laws, arresting people or killing another large group of humans.  It DOES NOT work!  So why do we continue?  Right now people are taking sides over the Israeli and Palestinian “war”.  I can’t tell you how many people have gotten upset with me because the only side I choose is the side of life and humanity.  Some “Christians” choose Israel because they were told by the church that to curse Israel would bring a curse down on them.. and we don’t want to be cursed by GOD do we?  Others choose Palestine because they always support the underdog and Palestine is indeed that, they don’t have the billions of  bucks that the US gives to Israel or the weapons given as gifts either.  What Palestine does seem to have is some people who are really ticked off with Israel and who hide among the civilians in Gaza, bunch of cowards.  It’s also an act of cowardice to bomb hundreds of civilians in order to maybe wipe out a terrorist or two.

Yep, I’m digging down on this today boys n girls.  Hang in there with me.. I’ll make my point in another few lines or maybe another paragraph or two. 

I’m not interested in whether or not you support either of these political monsters or which religious monster you support either.. even the new age religion is part of this.  My point is that it’s all about control.  Total control.  Looking outside yourself for permission, power, acceptance, love, peace etc. etc. etc.  Here we are almost in 2015 still worshiping kings, popes, religion and doing so because of beliefs and FEAR!  Fear is the problem, it’s what keeps everyone in the loop of same old crap bringing about same old experiences.

We scream and protest that we want an end to war, we say we want peace, but we don’t get peace because peace is not WITHIN US!  No peace out there will last until we heal our anger and fear, drop like a hot rock each and every belief that has been used as a weapon against us, and live as free beings.  We are Consciousness.  We are Powerful.  We have the power within us to make things different.  Just wanting it will not get it.  Nor will fighting against what is not wanted change it.  Only as each of us takes the time to sit in the silence and know peace will peace have any chance at all anywhere on the planet.

A study was done a few years back showing that the planet was most violent when we are.  We see this happening again now.  What must happen so that we will WAKE UP to the truth of our own power and heal the fear?  I invite you to a journey of self discovery, if you are brave enough to look honestly in the mirror of your life and choose another path.  Choose the path of Consciousness.  Choose the side of life!
