I voted for CHANGE not broken promises

Why is it that we keep believing what politicians tell us? Is it that we just hope that one of them will tell us the truth and actually do what they say or are we all just numbed by all the broken promises?

I think it’s some of both.  We are a hopeful people, humans all want dignity, and hope that each leader will bring that to the nation.  No matter the nation, the hope is the same.

Here in the US I voted for change.  I voted for a president who would do things differently than Bush had done.  I voted for my rights back, no torture, an end to war, health care reform and much more.

I voted for an end to lies in the White House.. remember the transparency promise???

I don’t know about you but throwing the “fear of terrorism” of 911 in my face in Obama’s recent speech informing this country of the reasons for more war just didn’t set right.  Matter of fact it got my dander up.  I felt angry and still do.

This feels like more of the terrorist behind every Bush story to me.  We can’t provide health care to our Nation.. but we can afford to be deeper in debt for a war that we CAN NOT WIN!

We can’t provide jobs, food, housing for our citizens but we can continue giving huge contracts to businesses who charge us many times over what their services and products are worth.  We have as many private contractors in Afganistan as we do troops.  They are making the big bucks while our sons and daughters are being killed and maimed all in the name of what???

I know some will say that we must get “Bin Laden”, but do we really even know that he’s alive or that he was even responsible for 9/11?  No we don’t .  On Bin Ladens most wanted poster it’s not even listed ..

These are facts.. the media spins what they are told to spin and most people just believe what they are told, continuing the brainwashing to become complient, non thinking sheep.

What does this have to do with my teachings on law of attraction, spirituality and energy work?  Every thing.  We are not separate from one another.  What we do to one.. we do to all of us.  When we ignore need of other human beings basic survival in order to continue war, or bail out banks or save Wall St.. we are not expressing our Highest Selves.. we are being blind.  WE are listening to FEAR.. of terrorists, of not enough to go around.. This is bull hockey.. folks.. wake up..

I urge you to do some research on these things.  Don’t take my word for it.  What I’ve discovered would take years to write.. you can simply look for documentaires on the subject, go to amnesty, Move On and other places through Google.

Our power is the result of being informed of TRUTH>>> not following blindly what our leaders.. either politicians or religious leads tell us to believe..

There is too much of the “blind leading the blind”.  Open your eyes that you may see, and once you see.. stand for truth..

I want real change.. not more broken promises.. how bout you?

Politics and Spirituality Salad Making

We all mix religion and politics.  We can’t help it.  Our personal beliefs are the filter through which everything we hear about, see, think and experience go through.

However, just as some things were never meant to be mixed together in a salad, so should politics and religion not be in the same bowl.

Watching the political scene the last few years I’ve been struck with how much religion is being crammed down the throat of Americans whether they believe the same way or not.

We have separation of church and state for good reason here in this county.  Any time ANY religion has power over the government and thus the people.. we have terror.

It’s happened throughout history and is happening even now.  Religion becomes the bat that everyone is hit over the head with in order to get them to comply.

Mercy, people even kill abortion doctors in this nation and proclaim it a righteous killing because the doctor was killing babies.

My mother told me that two wrongs never make a right.  Extreme right doesn’t seem to get that teaching.

While I have spiritual views and accept that my beliefs are the filter that the news must get through before it makes it to my thinking brain, I am at least willing to let it make it’s way to logical thinking.

I’m all for principles and law.  I like having a set of moral and ethical standards that I live by.  What I don’t enjoy is those who think that their beliefs are superior to those of others, in this nation or any other.

Terrorism is terrorism is terrorism.  Walking, quaking and looking like a duck generally makes one a duck.

Shock should be our response when any group of religious persons use their beliefs about GOD as a tool for gaining power and control of our nation.

Here in my state a few years ago a judge felt he was above the law and could do as he pleased with the Ten Commandments.  He’s thinking about running for office again and I’m sure there are those who will feel it’s God’s call to service to help him get elected.

The problem is everyone feels that way about their beliefs in GOD.  Every religion believer feels that their personal take on GOD is THE RIGHT ONE>>> some even think their way is THE ONLY RIGHT WAY to GOD>

This leads to war, terror in the streets, fear in the land.

How can such a great nation as America still be entrenched in fear, superstition and bias?  What will it take for people to keep their religion to themselves, living it as example rather than shoving it down people’s throats?

Pray for your nation, pray for your neighbors around the world.. but pray speaking with GOD and listening for guidance rather than to impress man and get voted into office or elected into power and control.

What is the difference between the Far Right and the Taliban?  Could it be that the only difference is the nation in which the terrorists reside and the style of clothing?

Hatred is not the answer.  Hatred has never been the answer.

Take the Hate out of religion and let’s see what we have to work with?  Want to give it a try?

Discover what your beliefs are and how they just might be holding you back.  Free yourself from self imposed and society imposed limited thinking.

Is America Coming Back to Sanity???

Hip Hip Hurray!!

Finally, after almost 8 years of insanity our Supreme court is coming to grips with what this nation stands for.

It decided… again.. that all prisoners held in the States or out.. do have rights.

Wow.. it’s hard for me to even consider that anyone in this nation, especially our president would think otherwise.

What makes our nation the envy of others? Why do people from all over the world want to move here?

Our freedom, our Constitution. Without the Constitution we are no different than any other nation in world.

The truth about this current President, George W. Bush is coming to light. Motions are being made to impeach him, too late though for all the damage he has done in our country.

I love this country and have been ashamed of many things that have happened over the last several years. Whenever we use terror to fight terrorist.. how are we then any different?

When we deny people a right to legal counsel and jail them for years without any rights whatsoever and use torture against them, please tell me how these acts differ from the ones we say we are fighting.

I am glad our Supreme Court made this decision. I am saddened that once again the Republicans including our president are upset about this decision. Are we going to turn from insanity back to the core of what our nation has always stood for?

I hear a lot of conservatives talking about how the morals and ethics in this nation are being eroded by abortion, gay rights, TV, books and movies.. yet none of the talk about denying other human beings protection from torture while in American custody.

How can this be?

Perhaps when a nation decides to believe the lies told by government to invade another country for oil they will fall for anything. I hope not. I hope we are waking up to what has been going on. We were told too many lies and lost too many freedoms to let it go on.

Hip hip Hurray Supreme Court of the United States of American for understanding that when it is legal to deny the constitutional rights to even one person, they have no value for anyone, American citizen or not.

Let’s bring this nation back to sanity and shine truth and light on lies, fear and those who promote it.
